Two pest assessments take place in the spring and summer.


Green - Yellow Bud Sampling: Summary

Forty-four sites across England and Wales have been assessed at the green to yellow bud growth stage for pollen beetle and cabbage seed weevil. Only one site was above the threshold of 15 pollen beetle per plant. The rest of the sites all had less than 3 per plant. One cabbage seed weevil was found in the Midlands & West and 2 in the East region.



Mid - Late Flowering Sampling: Summary

Twenty-nine sites have so far reported. Cabbage Seed Weevil numbers are low with an average of 0.2 per plant. The highest site found was in the North with 1 Cabbage Seed Weevil per plant.
