2007/2008 SURVEY: SPRING PEST ASSESSMENT 2008
Two pest assessments take place in the spring and summer.
  • Green - Yellow Bud: Pollen Beetle and Cabbage Seed Weevil
  • Mid-Late Flowering: Cabbage Seed Weevil


Green - Yellow Bud Sampling: Summary

Forty two sites across England and Wales have so far been assessed at the green to yellow bud growth stage for pollen beetle and cabbage seed weevil. No sites have been above the threshold of 15 pollen beetle per plant. The site with the most (in kent) had just over 10 per plant. All the rest had less than 3.5 per plant. No cabbage seed weevil have been found.
