Light Leaf Spot Forecasting
Regional forecast
The LLS website is hosted by Rothamsted Research, and provides an interactive crop-specific forecast of the risk to winter
oilseed rape crops from light leaf spot
The preliminary regional risk forecasts is issued in September of each year and uses
- previous season pod incidence data
- deviation from 30 year mean summer temperature data
- 30 year mean rainfall temperature data
The forecast is then updated in the spring using deviation of actual winter rainfall data from the 30 year mean.
The forecast was updated on 17/03/08. You can register to be notified, by e-mail, fax or SMS, when an updated forecast is released.
